Patricia Harris
Senior Associate
LLB (Hons.) (Law), Solicitor, Registered Trade Mark Attorney, European Trade Mark Attorney.
Pat is one of our senior associates and our IP transactions and restorations expert. Before joining Carpmaels, Pat trained and then worked as an IP solicitor for 15 years for one of London’s leading law firms where she was involved in the IP aspects of high profile business transfers and IP litigation at all levels up to the House of Lords.
Pat now works with our clients, both directly and via her colleagues, to ensure that clients obtain good, valid title to IP and to restore lost rights. She is happy to advise on many aspects of protection and enforcement of IP rights and will ensure that our clients are referred where appropriate to the relevant experts in our firm for advice on filing and prosecution work. Pat has published articles on the old stamp duty aspects of IP transactions and has contributed to leading text books, including “The Trade Mark Handbook” and “Trademarks Throughout the World”.
Pat enjoys singing and is an enthusiastic member of various choirs, performing in major venues in London as well as Cambridge and Birmingham (in the UK) and Beijing, Venice, Seville, Madeira and Cape Town.
