Mark Ness

Mark joined the firm in 2006, after spending almost a decade working for a leading pharmaceutical company both as a research scientist and a patent attorney. As a result of this experience, Mark is able to advise on a wide range of issues affecting the pharmaceutical industry and his work is manly focussed in this area, although he also maintains a more general chemistry-related practice.
He has extensive experience of drafting patent applications and of prosecution work before the European Patent Office and other patent offices around the world. Mark is also involved in a number of opposition and appeal proceedings before the EPO.
