Rachel Taylor
Associate
BSc (Hons), PhD, Chartered Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney
Rachel joined the firm in 2005 as a trainee Patent Attorney and handles a variety of chemical and light mechanical work specialising in Physical Chemistry. She graduated with a first class degree from Edinburgh University where she was awarded the MacFarlan Smith Prize. In her final year project she studied the Cavity Ringdown Spectroscopy parameters of various dyes.
Her Doctorate, also completed at Edinburgh University, focused on Electrochemistry and Materials Science and the application of known theories in these areas to investigate the basic parameters of Electrochemical Machining, a technique used to shape difficult-to-machine alloys.
Rachel is keen on a variety of sports and has also completed the RAF Elementary Flying Training Course.
