Simon Keevey-Kothari promoted as of 1st October

Carpmaels & Ransford is pleased to announce that Simon Keevey-Kothari has been appointed as Counsel within the Transactions Team, effective from 1st October.

Simon is a hugely experienced IP lawyer who was originally called to the Bar in 1996. As Counsel in the Transactions team, Simon assists clients in obtaining good, valid title to IP. He has deep expertise in transactional IP matters, and is an expert in the restoration of inadvertently-lapsed IP rights for clients at WIPO, the EPO, the UKIPO and beyond. He has extensive experience of the IP aspects of research and development, which means he is particularly well placed to assist clients in relation to contracts surrounding research projects and technology-related legal issues.

Hugh Goodfellow, Senior Partner at Carpmaels & Ransford comments: “Simon has vast experience of restoring rights for our clients before the UKIPO, WIPO and the EPO, as well as in other jurisdictions. He brings a calm and pragmatic approach to the problem, and thanks to his experience in how best to set things right, we are able to offer a service that is without equal in this area.”

Simon’s promotion follows the recent arrival of Litigation Partner Andrew Hutchinson and the expansion of our Munich office with new German Partners Niels Hölder and Mike Gruber.
