Kerry Fitchett joined the team on 14th September

Carpmaels & Ransford is pleased to announce the arrival of Kerry Fitchett as a Senior Associate in the Transactions team, effective from 14th September 2020.

Kerry is a solicitor who has over 20 years’ experience working in private practice and in industry advising companies and research institutions worldwide.

She advises on transfers of ownership, licensing, entitlement and priority issues, corrections, recordal of rights acquired in registered IP, and other legal aspects of ownership and third party interests in respect of UK, European and international IP rights. Much of her work involves complex multi-jurisdictional recordals at national, regional and international IP offices.

Jake Marshall, Head of the Transactions team, comments:

“We are very pleased to welcome Kerry to the firm. Her wide-ranging experience and expertise in multi-jurisdictional recordals will be hugely beneficial to our clients and a great addition to our team.”

The Transactions team forms a key part of Carpmaels & Ransford’s integrated IP offering, providing transaction-related advice covering the entire life cycle of IP rights.  As well as advising on the acquisition and licensing of IP rights and other agreements where IP is key, the team provides specialist advice on chain of title issues, manages multi-jurisdictional IP assignment recordal projects and assists clients with the restoration of registered IP rights around the world.

Kerry’s arrival follows the promotion of Chloe Taylor to Senior Associate in the Transactions team earlier this year.
