The WTR 1000 2026 includes the following commentary about the firm:

“Clients trust Carpmaels & Ransford to deliver an exceptional trademark service across the board. Recognised in all three WTR 1000 categories – prosecution and strategy, enforcement and litigation, and transactions – the team truly can do it all. At the helm of the Trademark Group is Roger Lush. He is committed to building lasting client relationships, enabling him to gain deeper insights into their businesses and deliver advice that is both precise and practical. Lush continues to support Bear Grylls Ventures in expanding and protecting the Bear Grylls brand, advising on portfolio management, brand extensions, and commercial partnerships. He also works closely with Lara Elder to safeguard and enforce John Deere’s brands, including the Leaping Deere logo. The pair deliver proactive, strategic guidance that strengthens the company’s position both in the UK and across the globe. Elder also joins forces with Jonathan Day to manage Diptyque’s global trademark portfolio, tackling disputes and driving brand protection strategies that combat lookalikes and counterfeits. Ian Kirby heads the Dispute Resolution team with impressive expertise across the full spectrum of IP issues. Known for crafting winning strategies in even the most complex litigation, his leadership delivers results that matter. On the transactions front, Jake Marshall is the name to note. His attention to detail and ability to draw up watertight deals ensures the best results. This year, Marshall has supported Chatsworth House’s international expansion through developing trademark licence templates and advising on complex ownership and intra-group use issues.”
