Carpmaels & Ransford held its second Diversity & Inclusion Day on 7th July, featuring a series of workshops on allyship and identity, understanding race and ethnicity, gender balance, systemic bias, barriers, and LGBTQ+ issues.
The firm was joined by expert speakers from EW Group, the UK’s leading diversity consultancy, who led the discussions and gave practical advice on creating a culture of inclusion, equity and belonging.
The workshops were open to everyone at the firm and provided an opportunity for people to talk about their experiences and share their ideas for creating a diverse and inclusive environment. The discussions and feedback will help to shape the firm’s diversity and inclusion activities for the rest of the year.

Diversity & Inclusion Day follows the recent launch of a firm-wide LGBTQ+ network, created for people at Carpmaels & Ransford who identify as LGBTQ+ and their allies. The network will organise events throughout the year, as well as offering resources and information about LGBTQ+ issues.
