Engineering

The breadth and depth of experience in the team is unrivalled

We represent some of the world’s leading companies in a variety of engineering fields, ranging from surgical devices to lasers, from contact lenses to window hinges and from aircraft wings to drug delivery systems. Our clients include Johnson & Johnson, Mars and Raytheon, as well as many other household names and SMEs.

Our approach is to recruit the best technical specialists and then embed them with our clients’ in-house technology teams. This way we can direct prosecution in the most effective manner and provide comprehensive advice on strategies for maximising value from the resulting IP. We are determined hunters when it comes to obtaining patents and are valued not only for winning difficult cases, but also for advising on when to save a fight for another day.

When it comes to resolving disputes, our approach is one of level-headed perseverance, with an awareness on the realities of what can be achieved within the constraints of available resources and the commercial sensitivities prevalent across the engineering sector.

Our patent specialists work hand-in-hand with our trade mark and transactions teams in order to provide a complete IP service to our clients.
