Internships and other work experience in the patent profession are notoriously difficult to obtain and therefore this is a rare opportunity to experience first-hand working within one of Europe’s leading firms of patent attorneys.
Our new programme will take place from 26th June – 7th July 2017 at our offices in Central London. The programme is designed to accelerate the participants understanding of the profession and give an insight into working life at the firm.
Our structured programme will include seminars, case studies, work shadowing and involvement in client meetings and active cases. There is also the opportunity to see the social side of the firm, engaging with all members of the team from partners to trainees.
Interns will be paid for the duration and will receive a contribution towards travel expenses, although interns are responsible for their own accommodation.
Applicants will have 360 UCAS points and will have achieved (or be on course for) a minimum of a 2:1 degree, ideally in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, material science, physics, electronics, engineering or computer science.
Applicants must be available for the duration of the internship.
Priority will be given to applicants who are expecting to complete (or have already completed) their academic studies or research in 2018.
Applications must be made via the online application form by 1st May 2017 and will required a copy of your CV and cover letter (of no more than one page) explaining why you should be considered for an internship. Short interviews via Skype will be scheduled during the later part of May 2017.
The number of internships we are able to offer is limited. Failure to be selected for an internship should not discourage applicants from applying for a graduate position or other future events.
If you require further information about the application process or have any other queries, please contact a member of our Human Resources team.
