A successful first year for the IP Inclusive Charter

Carpmaels & Ransford will be hosting and celebrating the successful first year of the IP Inclusive Charter this Thursday, 24th November. The IP Inclusive Charter was set up to promote equality, diversity and inclusion across all aspects of employment practice – including recruitment and retention, career development and workplace ethos – in the IP sector.

The IP Inclusive reception will be a great opportunity for Charter signatories and IP professionals to come together and share their experiences and suggestions for diversity in IP.

David Wilson, Partner at Carpmaels & Ransford, and Andrea Brewster, IP Inclusive leader, will provide introductions and a welcome speech. These will be followed by a keynote speech on the ‘Race for Opportunity’ by Maria Petnga-Wallace, Diversity Advisor at Business in the Community. Lesley Evans, Chief Executive of Haseltine Lake LLP will then provide an update on IP Inclusive projects that have taken place over the past year, including their new awareness-raising Careers in Ideas campaign. There will also be a panel discussion, chaired by Andrea Brewster, on increasing racial diversity within the IP profession.

IP Inclusive is a self-regulating group of IP professionals who are championing greater diversity within the workplace. To find out more about IP Inclusive and this event, please visit the IP Inclusive website.
