Carpmaels & Ransford is recommended in six categories

Carpmaels & Ransford has been recommended in six categories in the 2021 edition of the JUVE Patent UK Rankings. The categories include Pharma and biotechnology, Medical technology, Chemistry, Digital communication and computer technology, Electronics, and Litigation.

Nine individuals were recognised in this year’s rankings: Ian Kirby, David Wilson, Harvey Adams, Stephen Duffield, Hugh Goodfellow, Simon Llewellyn, Cameron Marshall, Edward Oates, and Gary Small.

The rankings celebrate the leading firms and practitioners in the UK patent law market and are based on extensive research and interviews with clients, academics, lawyers and judges.

JUVE comments:

“For years, Carpmaels has enjoyed a strong position in the London market. It is one of the top names in Europe for filing pharma and biotech patents, as well as for complex EPO oppositions and appeals. “Very impressive setup as a classic originator firm”, one competitor comments. “Their lawyers are extremely professional”, said another.” Some of the firm’s patent attorneys, such as Cameron Marshall, have an outstanding reputation. Carpmaels plays a prominent role in EPO oppositions for Novartis concerning Afinitor and Regeneron regarding Praluent. The coronavirus pandemic is unlikely to change this position much. On the contrary, Carpmaels boasts excellent relationships with many originators and medical product manufacturers, which are currently profiting from the pandemic.”
