Carpmaels & Ransford has once again been named as a leading firm for UPC litigation in this year’s JUVE Patent UPC rankings. Carpmaels was one of only four firms nominated for JUVE’s 2026 UPC Firm of the Year.
Based on interviews with clients, lawyers and academics, the JUVE Patent UPC rankings highlight patent firms, attorneys and litigators who are building leading reputations at the Unified Patent Court.
Partners Agathe Michel-de Cazotte, Cameron Marshall and Daniel Wise received individual recognition for their involvement in high profile UPC proceedings. According to the report:
“Carpmaels has successfully leveraged its strong position in UK and EPO life sciences proceedings for its UPC work. “They are doing excellent EPO and coordination work for us. When we have a UPC case we will certainly entrust it to Carpmaels,” says a long-standing client from the life sciences sector.”
More than 50 Carpmaels attorneys are deeply involved in active UPC litigation and many more in UPC related advice: we have more than 80 qualified UPC representatives and over 30 litigators with experience of national and UPC litigation.
We are currently representing clients in more than 20 UPC actions, including preliminary injunction proceedings, and infringement and revocation actions, and we have also acted in 9 appeals to date, including ongoing appeals of first instance infringement and revocation decisions. From the outset, we have handled some of the most technically complex and valuable cases at the UPC, including successfully leading the first ever revocation action at the Central Division, and the first ever UPC case involving an SPC.
