Carpmaels & Ransford took home two Europe Impact Case of the Year awards at the 2025 Managing IP EMEA Awards held in London on 10th April. The firm was recognised for defending Curio Bioscience in Curio Bioscience v 10x Genomics (2024), the first case in which a UK law firm conducted UPC proceedings completely independently, and for its work representing Sanofi in Sanofi v Amgen (2024), the first ever UPC revocation decision of the Central Division UPC.
Partner Cameron Marshall was also recognised as UK Patent Practitioner of the Year (Patent & Trademark Attorney Firms) particularly for his work leading in Curio Bioscience v 10x Genomics (2024).
Hugh Goodfellow, Managing Partner at Carpmaels & Ransford, comments:
“We are honoured to take home these awards, which recognise our firm’s unique positioning at the forefront of the UPC. We look forward to sharing this experience with many more clients as they continue to navigate the UPC system.”
