Alastair Baldry

Associate

Alastair graduated from St John’s College, Oxford with a first class degree in Chemistry. He joined Carpmaels & Ransford as a Trainee Patent Attorney in 2019, working in both the Chemistry and Life Sciences Pharmaceuticals teams.

Alastair’s final year Master’s project focussed on developing interferometric scattering microscopy (iSCAT) for the application to absolute concentration measurements of biomolecules at the single-molecule level with a view to potential medical applications. Whilst at university, he was awarded various prizes for examination results including a Casberd scholarship.

Outside of work, Alastair enjoys a wide range of sports including running, cycling and football. He is also a keen reader and has a new-found interest in cooking.
