Alex Henderson

Alex joined Carpmaels & Ransford in September 2016 as a Trainee Patent Attorney in the life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors after obtaining his degrees from the University of Bristol. Alex’s PhD project was in organic chemistry and he researched the use of carbohydrate-based ligands for catalysis. He is also interested in synthetic methodology which enables access to novel chemical space. Overall, his efforts were rewarded with prizes, the publication of several papers and various bursaries, which enabled him to study in Japan and present at internationally renowned conferences.

Outside of the office Alex enjoys social sports, photography, travel and most things associated with food.
