Ambar Kolari

Technical Assistant

Ambar joined Carpmaels & Ransford in 2025 as a Trainee Patent Attorney in the Life Sciences group. Prior to this, she graduated from University College London (UCL) with a first-class BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences, specialising in molecular and cellular biology. During her degree, her academic performance was recognised through several prizes, including the BSc Biomedical Sciences Sessional Prize and appearing on the Dean’s List.

During her undergraduate studies, Ambar worked at the Institute for Neuroscience in ETH Zürich under the Amgen Scholarship Programme. She researched the interaction between the micro-RNA miR-503-5p and the long non-coding RNA MALAT1. At the end of her internship, she presented the project’s findings at the annual Amgen Symposium at the University of Cambridge.

For her final year research project, Ambar worked at the London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN). The project was focused on understanding the role of SPIN90 in cell migration through micropatterning, confocal microscopy and computational image analysis.

In her free time, Ambar enjoys cooking and learning Greek, as well as walking all over London and going to the theatre.
