Anne Dillon

Legal Support

Anne is a well-established member of Carpmaels & Ransford staff, having first joined the firm on 4 July 1977. She has been a paralegal within the Transactions Group since 2013. As an experienced paralegal a significant part of Anne’s role is focussed on managing and effecting the worldwide recordal of assignments, name and address changes at patent offices on behalf of many of the firm’s major (and most acquisitive) clients.

A recent case saw Anne co-ordinate a recordal programme arising from an asset purchase in which over 300 patents across 60 countries changed hands.

With a love for the meticulous review of assignments and patent registers and strong relationships with local attorneys in jurisdictions from Austria to Australia, Anne ensures that recordals are effected smoothly and correctly, enabling the client to get on with commercialising their assets.

Anne’s first role at Carpmaels & Ransford was as an office junior in the Trade Marks team. Anne progressed from there to a secretarial role for one of the firm’s Trade Marks partners, a role she held for ten years, until 1992. Anne left the firm for a few years to have her son, Joe, re-joining when he started school in 1997. From 1997 to 2013, Anne worked in Carpmaels & Ransford’s Records Department, making her a real mine of useful information.

Away from the office, Anne is a keen snooker fan, a film enthusiast and a voracious reader.
