Caroline Horstmann

Associate

Caroline is an associate in the Dispute Resolution team with a focus on patent litigation at the UPC. She has experience of litigation before the UPC and the German courts (both first instance and appeal). Caroline has been involved in several infringement and revocation actions as well as proceedings for provisional measures in the UPC.

Prior to joining Carpmaels & Ransford in 2025, Caroline worked at a top-tier full-service law firm in Dusseldorf, Germany. She advised clients in several proceedings before the UPC and the German courts in relation to patents in various fields of technology.

Caroline is German qualified and obtained an LLM in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary University of London (with distinction).
