Chloe Grover
Associate

Chloe handles a diverse range of industrial and medicinal materials-based subject matter, encompassing consumer chemistry, sustainable technology and implantable and bench-top medical devices including molecular diagnostics instruments, disposable fluidic cartridges, stents and bone fixation devices.

Chloe has relationships with long-standing and new clients whose commercial interests lie in polymer chemistry and the processing of polymers into films, or their use in washing methods. This patent-dense field is particularly challenging and Chloe works closely with clients developing patent strategies that serve their commercial interests. As a result, she has valuable experience in patent prosecution outside of Europe, in particular China, Japan and the US.

A significant amount of Chloe’s work involves implantable medical devices. This complements her materials science background and PhD focusing on the synthesis and characterisation of scaffolds and thin films based on collagen for use in heart tissue engineering. This seemingly narrow field covers a broad range of technologies and Chloe’s scientific knowledge in the fields of metallurgy, carbon-based materials, thin films and ceramics supports her work in this area.

Chloe enjoys swimming and competes at National level. She keeps up her musical skills playing flute with a local orchestra, and she is a cooking (and eating) enthusiast.
