Dan joined Carpmaels & Ransford as a trainee patent attorney in September 2017 after working for over 3 years in the aerospace and lighting industries as a practicing electrical engineer. He graduated from Ohio State University in 2013 with a degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, during which time he worked on the hardware and software of high-capacity current drive modules for auxiliary systems in an all-electric car. He continued to develop his engineering skills in industry by helping to develop RF lighting controls and LED driver circuitry, manufacturing and test equipment, and power electronics for electrical motor controls.
Whilst working in industry, Dan assisted the technical development of consumer electronics from design through manufacturability, and spent time in both Mexico and China to assist in this. Dan also spent considerable time working in the UK in aerospace development and hardware testing for primary flight motor controls and thrust reverser motor controls.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys photography and traveling as much as possible. He also spends many of his Saturdays watching (American) college football with other locals in London.
