James Mitchell is a litigation paralegal in the dispute resolution team. In September 2019, he will start his training contract at Penningtons Manches LLP. James joined Carpmaels & Ransford in September 2017. Having studied Physics & Management at Loughborough University, he completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), Legal Practice Course (LPC) and Masters in Law & Business (MSc) awarded with Distinction from the University of Law.
After completing his legal studies, James spent one year working as a paralegal at an international law firm in the Marine & International Trade department assisting with a $1+ billion multi-claim international arbitration case and in the Intellectual Property litigation department at a leading global law firm focusing on pharmaceutical and advanced technology patent infringement cases, patent litigation and licensing agreements.
Outside of the office, James enjoys playing tennis and is a PADI certified diver.
