Jess Pike

Jess joined the Life Sciences team at Carpmaels and Ransford in 2025, having previously started in the profession at another IP firm in 2021. Prior to that, Jess obtained a Masters in Chemistry at Durham University and went on to complete a PhD in Medical Imaging at King’s College London.
Her PhD focussed on the development of novel hybrid chelators for therapeutic and diagnostic radiometal-ligand complexes to be used in nuclear medicine. In particular, the research involved designing and developing cyclen-bis(hydroxypyridinone) chelators for the chelation of trivalent radiometals and investigating the radiolabelling behaviour of such ligands.
Outside of work, Jess enjoys going to the gym, running and playing tag rugby.
