Jessie joined the Knowledge Team as a paralegal in August 2026 upon completing her LLM with the University of Law.

For her philosophy dissertation, Jessie drew upon Michel Foucault’s model of biopolitics and Edward Said’s Orientalism to assess COVID-19 origin theories, namely the Wuhan wet market and lab leak hypotheses.

Throughout her undergraduate degree, Jessie worked as a political and communications intern for a federation representing independent retailers. In this role, she communicated directly with MPs and Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) across the UK.

While studying at the University of Law, Jessie served as Bristol President of Junior Lawyers Against Poverty.

Growing up by the Devon seaside, Jessie loves open-water swimming, sailing and golf, and used to play badminton and tennis competitively.
