Madeleine Brolly

Madeleine joined the Engineering and Tech teams at Carpmaels & Ransford in 2022, having earned a first class Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick. She was awarded a Women in Engineering Scholarship for the duration of her studies and received an award from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers for her final year project.

Madeleine joined the Warwick Mobile Robotics team for her final year project and assisted in the development of a computer vision system for use in the control of two crawler robots designed to perform non-destructive testing using electromagnetic acoustic transducers. The technique is particularly sensitive to misalignment of the sensors, and hence the project aimed to devise and test a method of detecting, and automatically correcting, any misalignment between the robots based predominantly on the use of fiducial markers.

Outside of the office, Madeleine enjoys skiing and walking her dogs.
