Molly Martin
Technical Assistant

Molly joined Carpmaels & Ransford in 2024 as a Technical Assistant in the Life Sciences group, after completing an internship with the firm in 2022. She graduated from UCL with a first-class Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, ranking first in her cohort and appearing on the Dean’s List twice. Subsequently Molly completed a Master’s in Integrated Immunology at the University of Oxford, also ranking first in her cohort.
Molly’s postgraduate studies were funded by a Clarendon scholarship. Her research explored how iron deprivation affects cellular immune responses. In her dissertation, she documented how monoclonal antibodies targeting the transferrin receptor, which is responsible for the uptake of iron, affect the proliferation, activation status and function of CD8+ T cells and B cells. Molly received an award for writing the highest-marking dissertation. Her research will form the basis for the preclinical development of anti-transferrin receptor monoclonal antibodies to modulate adaptive immune responses.
Outside of the office, Molly enjoys hiking, running, and walking her dog. She has also recently taken up salsa dancing.
