Robbie Matthews

Robbie joined the Life Sciences team at Carpmaels & Ransford in 2024 as a Technical Assistant. Before this, he graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge with first class BA and MSci degrees in Natural Sciences, specialising in Chemistry. In his final year examinations, he was awarded several prizes including the departmental prize for distinction in Biological Chemistry.

For his final year research project, Robbie worked with Cambridge’s Centre for Atmospheric Science. In this computational project, he carried out an evaluation of models used to predict dimethyl sulfide concentrations in the atmosphere through comparison with observational data.

Outside of work, Robbie can often be found exercising. He enjoys running and cycling and misses the trails and roads of the Yorkshire Dales where he grew up.
