Suvina is an Australian Qualified Solicitor dealing with transactional intellectual property matters. She has experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts for several industries both in private practice and in-house roles. Most notably, her work has been focused on drafting contracts for intellectual property assets, such as licencing, distribution, partnership and assignment agreements, having worked closely with large multi-national companies. She has also provided advice on data protection implementation during her in-house role. Before joining Carpmaels & Ransford, Suvina trained in a top-tier full service law firm as well as a boutique law firm in Sydney. Her experience in both private practice and in-house gives her a commercial awareness of the interests and business needs of her clients. She understands the importance of protecting intellectual property assets in an age of digital transformation.
Suvina was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in February 2021, having attained a Bachelor of Law and a Graduate Certificate in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Technology, Sydney. She is currently undertaking a Master of Law at King’s College London specialising in Intellectual Property and Information Law. She is keen to partner her academic knowledge with her business acumen to ensure that she delivers excellent service to clients.
Outside of work, Suvina has a passion for the performing and visual arts and is likely to be found in a concert hall or wandering an art gallery sketching her inspirations.
