Having graduated with a first class master’s degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry) from the University of Cambridge, Tamsin joined Carpmaels & Ransford as a Trainee Patent Attorney in 2020. Her research project was in a materials chemistry group specialising in battery applications.
Tamsin’s dissertation was on the role of lithium fluoride in the solid-electrolyte interphase of a lithium anode, modelled using a composite polymer electrolyte and analysed via solid state NMR and electrochemical methods. For her work, she received a departmental prize for the best inorganic chemistry final year project.
Outside of the office, Tamsin enjoys dancing and watching ballet. She also likes cooking for friends and family and trying new recipes from around the world.
