Susannah Dragosavac

Senior Associate

Susannah’s practice covers a wide range of technical subject matter, with a particular focus on surgical instruments, medical imaging systems, software, and user interfaces. Susannah is experienced in successfully attacking and defending granted European patents during opposition and appeal proceedings, providing validity and infringement opinions of granted UK patents, coordinating multinational patent families, and prosecuting applications in patent offices around the world.

Susannah is experienced in drafting patent applications across a wide range of technology, with a particular focus on software and user interfaces. She has drafted and prosecuted the patent portfolio for the predictive technology company SwiftKey from their first patent application to acquisition by Microsoft.

Susannah works closely with her clients and has worked in-house with a client to draft patent applications and provide at-hand advice on patentability, patent filing and prosecution strategy.

Susannah joined Carpmaels & Ransford in 2007.  She qualified as a UK and European patent attorney in 2011, and was awarded the Gill prize for achieving the highest aggregate mark in the UK final exams. Before joining Carpmaels & Ransford, Susannah studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, specialising in Experimental and Theoretical Physics, graduating with a first class degree.

When not in the office, Susannah devotes her time to her young family, but continues her love of art through craft projects with her children.
