Clara joined Carpmaels & Ransford as a trainee patent attorney in September 2015. A significant amount of Clara’s work involves medical device technology. In particular, Clara is involved in the prosecution of portfolios relating to drug delivery devices, technologies for treating blood clots and diagnostic systems for analysing single cells using mass cytometry. Clara handles patent prosecution both in Europe and outside of Europe, including China and Japan.  Clara has also assisted in a number of clearance projects for autoinjector devices, helping to advise clients on strategies to protect their commercial interests.

Before joining the firm, Clara graduated from the University of Bristol with a Master’s degree in Physics.
