Since the UPC’s opening in June 2023, the Court has developed a growing body of case law across key areas. Our first volume examined substantive Court of Appeal decisions on infringement and revocation, applications for preliminary injunctions, and two notable appellate rulings on the scope of the UPC’s jurisdiction. This second volume summarises significant procedural rulings issued by the UPC Court of Appeal from its opening to the end of 2025. We have highlighted influential decisions on points including preservation of evidence, suspensive effect, confidentiality, costs, representatives, change of language and stay of proceedings.
These decisions provide guidance on the UPC’s evolving practice and procedure and help clarify how the Court interprets and applies key provisions of the Rules of Procedure.

Unified Patent Court
