Alexandra Drewe

Technical Assistant

Alex joined the Engineering and Tech teams at Carpmaels & Ransford in 2020, having completed a Master’s degree in Engineering at Somerville College, Oxford, where she specialised in Biomedical Engineering. In her third year she was awarded the Shaw Lefevre Scholarship in Engineering Science.

In her final year project she used data obtained from oral-based accelerometers to present a method based on the cross correlation coefficient for quantitatively measuring the synchronisation of athletes during physical activity. The findings of the study were promising, with potential for application in performance analysis for optimising player combinations and reducing injury.

Outside of the office Alex represents the England Women’s team for Lacrosse. She is a current defending European Champion, and was also a junior World Bronze medal winner in 2015.
