Laura Mikkelsen

Laura joined the Dispute Resolution team in 2024 as a newly qualified Associate.  Laura trained at a leading New Zealand law firm where she gained experience advising multinational clients on their global brand protection and enforcement strategy as well as on the regulation and commercialisation of pharmaceuticals, clinical trials, and medical devices in New Zealand.

Laura enjoys immersing herself in the elaborate world of patent litigation and is particularly interested in intellectual property rights relevant to the health and life sciences sector.  Laura holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science (majoring in genetics) from the University of Otago, where she spent her weekends working at the local pharmacy and driving to the nearest ski fields with friends.

In her spare time, Laura enjoys reading and has recently learned to knit.
