Four partners from Carpmaels & Ransford have been featured in the most recent publication

Head of life sciences, Hugh Goodfellow, has been selected as a thought leader by Who’s Who Legal Patent 2017 following nominations from peers, corporate counsel and market sources.

The third edition of the publication, which describes the firm as “a leading European IP firm known for a large and well-developed life sciences offering that sees the firm’s agents handle patent work for some of the leading corporations in the pharmaceuticals and biotechnology spaces”, also names partners Edward Oates, John Brunner, and Cameron Marshall as leading patent attorneys.

According to the publication’s sources Hugh Goodfellow is “known for his significant experience in patent prosecution work before the EPO.  One source comments, “he is always involved in high profile cases” and is “highly knowledgeable and proactive.”

Cameron Marshall was also singled out for comment as “insightful and intelligent”. The publication notes, “He regularly acts for biotech companies and blue chip pharmaceutical clients in inter partes proceedings at the EPO.”
