Carpmaels & Ransford technical assistants come top in examinations

We are delighted to congratulate two of our technical assistants, John Snape and Lawrence Paleschi, who were recently awarded prizes for exceptional academic performance during the 2016-17 Certificate in IP Law course at Queen Mary University of London.

John, who is a member of the Life Sciences Group at Carpmaels & Ransford, received the GlaxoSmithKline Prize for Excellence in Patents. He achieved the highest mark across both patent examination papers.

Lawrence is part of the Engineering and Technology Group  and received the CCLS Director’s Prize for Academic Excellence in Competition Law. Lawrence achieved the joint highest mark in the competition law examination paper.

Technical assistants from Carpmaels & Ransford attend the Certificate in IP Law course as part of their second year of training, alongside technical assistants from a number of other patent law firms. John and Lawrence’s achievements build on Carpmaels & Ransford’s long history of success on the course in previous years.
